Baby's busy weekend

Kieran had a busy, busy weekend! Saturday we left early to St. Charles for a wedding. We stayed with Kieran's grandpa and Kimi at a rental apartment in the retirement community Kieran's great grandmother lives in. We spent some time visiting and then we all got ready for the wedding and headed off to downtown St. Charles. Rick's cosin Danny was married at the conservatory and it was an absoultuly beautiful wedding. Kieran was an angel and of course everyone loved him ;) He had never met any of the extended Rother family and it was so nice to finally introduce him! Rick did, however, take Kieran out mid-ceremony because he decided, once everyone got quiet, that it would be a good time to blow raspberries... not the best sound effect to have on one's wedding video ;)
The reception was a bit dodgy because it was getting late and Kieran didn't get much of an afternoon nap. But all in all, Kieran did fine and mommy and daddy both got to enjoy a delicious dinner followed by amazing cupcakes. We spent the night in St. Charles- Kieran's first overnight away from the house. Although he had a bit of a melt down in the carride back from the reception, once his head hit the pillows, he was out and he slept great even though we were in a strange place!
The next morning it was up and at 'em early again as we rushed home to Jefferson City so mommy could get ready for Lori's babyshower. Kieran also attended this event- just a little late because of his afternoon nap. He had a great time playing with the sherbert container from the punch and the empty bumbo box... good times were had by all!
It was a very fun weekend, but mommy, daddy and Kieran are looking forward to a quieter one coming up... one spent at home with very little travel and no rush!

Grandpa's birthday and the weekend

This is being posted a little late but it's been a busy week that is only getting crazier as it goes on. Here are a few pics from this past weekend with Kieran. The first is from Grandpa's birthday party... Kieran enjoyed chewing on a bow from one of Grandpa's gifts- mmmm curly plastic!

A couple of the other pics show Kieran in his fall jackets in the morning before we head out the door to daycare.

The bowls of food are from the marathon pureeing session on Saturday. Kieran's going through food faster now so mommy has to make a lot more, more often to keep up!

The first video show's Kieran blowing raspberries a new-old favorite skill that has just remembered how to do ;)

Happy 31 weeks!

Kieran is 31 weeks old today and currently he is enjoying a little floor time before breakfast.

This week Sheila has returned and so Kieran has been back on his normal routine again... which is nice for everyone :)

He is cutting a new tooth- top right incisor- and it is coming in with a vengeance and seems to be bothering him a lot more than his first two... poor little man.

New to the baby menu is acorn squash which Kieran seems to like pretty well. Kieran continues to eat... a lot. He is currently up to 4-6 cubes of food for lunch and dinner... grow big boy grow!

Some older pics... from grandma

Here are some pics from Kieran's 6 month birthday and before taken at grandma/grandpa's house with grandma's camera. The other adorable baby in the shots is none other than cousin Presley... what a little sweetie!

Happy 7 month birthday!

Kieran is 7 months old today! Hard to believe I know! Today he got up on all fours for a moment while visiting with Auntie Lori... watch out world... Kieran's getting ready to crawl! These pics were taken in the office over a quick dinner of pizza and lots of fun with Kieran surrounded by his toys, mommy, daddy and Gracie. Happy birthday big boy!

Lovely weekend... despite the weather!

Kieran spent this past weekend with family and we all had a lovely time, despite the unseasonably cold weather!

Saturday the three of us went to the Orr Street art fair and enjoyed a Sweedish breakfast at Svens while we watched a ballet class! Then we took in lots of art at the Orr studios and then down town at a few of the varrious galleries. Next, we visited with Grandpa Rother and Kimi and had a chance to see the new house they are rehabbing- FORE! We finished the day with some warm-you-up drinks at Starbucks and a quiet dinner at home.

Sunday, mommy made lots of baby foods- adding acorn squash to the expanding list of "things Kieran eats". Then the three of us headed out to Grandma/Grandpa's place for some yummy soups, fruit salad and chocolate-raspberry cake- good stuff! As you can see, Kieran enjoyed all the attention from auntie Shannon and grandpa and hanging out with cousin Presley... he especially like pulling auntie's earrings and grandpa's nose!
