KIM school bday celebration!

Kieran celebrated his 3rd birthday at school today with his friends. His teachers were kind enough to snap a few pictures of the festivities for us... not too sure what is going on with the candle and globe but it's pretty darned cute! I decided to make a healthy birthday snack since he will OD on processed sugars tomorrow at his party- so fruit it was for school!

Kieran's first sporting event ;)

Thanks to Gina's smart phone I have photo evidence of Kieran and I attending his first ever sporting event. Last night we headed to TJ for the annual JCPS dodge-ball tournament. He wasn't too impressed, especially after the coach took his ball away ;) He did, however, enjoy the free hotdog and chips!

What a little stinker! I suppose at some point we should take him to an actual sporting event... Mr. Nolke's worried about Kieran's lack of sports exposure ;)

New big-boy bed!

In less than a week Kieran will be three... I can hardly believe it but it is undeniable- my little boy is growing up. Suddenly he seems bigger and more like a boy and less and less like a baby. Thanks to daddy's hard work today he has a bed and haircut suitable for a big boy! Now to work on decorating this new big boy room... so long sweet forest creatures and hello monsters!

A four day weekend!

We were off Friday after two looooong conference nights and have Monday for President's Day- so a four day weekend! Kieran had a pretty busy social agenda that kept us hopping ;)

Friday morning we had a play date with Livy and Reece at the YMCA gym in Jeff City. We ran into Camden there too- Kieran was in heaven... his best friends, balls, scooters, forts and plenty of space to RUN! We joined Lori and the girls for lunch at the "cheeseburger store" (aka McDonald's) for lunch- mmmmm!

Saturday morning we went to Avery's birthday at his house in Columbia- Kieran was his usual wild self- no hesitation in a new place at all! He played with all the toys, was in and out on the porch playing in the sandbox and drove Avery's car all over the living room :) The hit of the party was the pinata- the look on Kieran's face was pure joy and awe as he watched other children bash the colorful donkey with a big stick and when it was his turn he let that poor paper mache creature have it! An adult had to administer the final blow that busted the pinata wide open and when Kieran saw there was candy inside he was absolutely thrilled!

Kieran hopped in Avery's car almost as soon as we walked in the door!

Saturday night we went to Camden's for a pizza and movie night- the boys were so busy running and playing there was barely any time for TV at all! They managed to watch a couple episodes of Dinosaur Train before it was time to head back home for bed- it was a late night for Mr. KP.

Sunday Kieran went with Rick to visit NeNe Orange while Mommy cleaned the house. They had Mexican cheeseburgers and chips and salsa- mmmm! Then Kieran and I headed over to my folks and played outside in the "Reindeer house" (aka hunting tent) and had grilled cheese for dinner.

I think we will take it easy today... so far the guys have built a fort in the living room and have been "flying" all around the house in their capes- too cute ;)
