Time with daddy

Irish roots and daddy time...

Kieran tried out his "Irish Roots" t-shirt from Auntie Aoife today- he's a very fetching lad don't you think? ( :
He also spent some quality time with daddy- who gave him his first bottle yesterday- by the way- and it went very smoothly. And as suspected, Kieran is eating a LOT! He had three ounces in no time flat and was ready for more!

5 weeks old and a fashion show

Kieran is 5 weeks old today and 10.3 lbs! Big boy! Mommy decided this morning would be better spent playing dress the baby rather than chores... I figure how much longer will he be able to wear some of these things?! It would be a shame to not at least try them on! I have decided though that dressing your baby in anything other than sleepers at this point is craziness! Onsies are nearly impossible to get on and don't get me started on coats and pants! Besides, Kieran seems much happier in his simple jumpsuits... why rock the boat? Especially with a baby who grows fussier by the day! But despite the protests, aren't these little outfits too cute?!

The fur-babies...

So, you know what Kieran and I do during the day... here's what the pets do 99% of our days here at home- what I had always expected happened when I was at work... they sleep... a LOT! But they sure are cute when they do!

Daddy's an art teacher too!

Good news in the Rother home... Rick was offered and has accepted an art-teacher position at Cedar Hill Elementary school here in Jefferson City! (Notice the signing of the contract!) We are both so relieved and excited about this new opportunity. Now we just have to make it through the rest of this semester and a class over the summer! Way to go daddy!
PS Check out the super-cool shirt mommy had made to commemorate the occasion!

One month old and first Easter!

Easter was pretty uneventful as was Kieran's first month birthday. Daddy was working so Kieran and I headed over to Grandma D's for a lovely dinner and lots of Easter sweets. Kieran's cousin Presley was there with her mom and dad too. We should have gotten a picture of her but alas mom forgot the camera at home!
