This was a busy April weekend. Yesterday we celebrated Presley's 3rd birthday at my folks house with a couple other friends. Presley and Kieran had a great time dancing, running, playing and eating sweets. The food was great and the gifts were a lot of fun- grandma did a wonderful job putting it all together!
Today Kieran and I went to Bass Pro to visit the Easter Bunny after a morning trip to the Ashland park. Things started out well with Kieran doing a little fishing (we fed the fish 5 worms but never caught one ;) and then playing around with a new friend while waiting in line for the bunny. The visit with the rabbit went well but after that, things started to go down hill. It was after 1 with no lunch or nap yet and Kieran insisted on checking out a large demo boat after a quick egg hunt in the store. As he was sitting in the captain's seat he looked at me and said, "I peed my pants." Great. I had just asked him if he needed to use the bathroom and of course he said he did not. He didn't just pee a little either- there was a puddle on the leather seat dripping down onto the floor of the boat! I was mortified and not happy to say the least. I drug him out as he bawled and apologized the entire way- a very pathetic scene for sure. As we drove home I called the store to let them know about the puddle and apologize- I am sure we won't be visiting Bass Pro anytime soon... When we got home I have Kieran a bath and laid down with him on his bed- he was out in minutes. Poor thing was exhausted. Not a shinning moment in my mommy memoirs but none the less I have a feeling it will leave a lasting impression on Kieran- speak up when you need to use the bathroom!
