The end of April 2012

Kieran, Olivia, Presley and a KIM classmate at the school fundraiser dinner in Memorial Park- Kieran's pretty popular with the ladies ;)

I love that the three girls are all wearing pink and Kieran's in a blue superhero shirt :)

Kieran pretending to have a baby in his belly- ever since he last saw Julie and her beach-ball tummy he's been obsessed with the idea- he told me I needed to catch a baby and put her in my tummy ;)

Kieran's first class photo- the KIM kids outside by the barn.

Love this cheesy set/backdrop and I can't believe the photographer got Kieran to pose and smile!

Kieran working on his 3 year painting...

There's that left hand at work again- makes a mama south-paw proud ;)

Lovin' the mess!

The finished painting- I think he did a great job on this one- lots of texture and movement... way to go artist!

"Working" at mommy's computer. He managed to turn the video on and had a ball watching himself on the screen!

Look at that smile!

Another Kieran original- a bird... not too shabby for a 3 year old leftie!

Earth Day 2012

Despite the cold and wet weather we visited down town Columbia's Earth Day celebration today. Kieran was in a chipper mood most of the day, including during lunch at India House and for 99% of walking around the festival... it wasn't until the end, when it was time to go home that he lost it but within five minutes of driving he had it back together again so all in all it was a lovely day. Kieran ate a ton of tandori chicken and mango custard for lunch while daddy and I enjoyed the rest of the delicious Sunday buffet... mmmm! We walked around down town and Peace Park and checked out many of the different booths and events... Kieran had a great time!
Kieran wore his Super Kieran cape all day today- in fact he is still wearing it ;) He also carried his Spiderman umbrella which worked out well since it did rain off and on today.

We came across a couple little girls with a bubble-gun on the patio of the old Los Banditos- he had a great time chasing bubbles and pretending to be Superman- soooo cute!

Love all the action poses!

Look at that beautiful face :)

Daddy and Kieran

Our little superhero :)

Fishing for crayfish in Peace Park- he was very gentle ;)

Talking to the girl in the "crab costume"

Dad and Kieran bust a move with hula hoops :)

"I'm Superman dad!"

Superman action pose!

Warming up and taking a load off at Kaldi...

Mmmmm- whipping cream!

Petting a chicken at the Urban Agriculture booth- he also loved their corn sensory table... this seems like it might be a good place to visit this summer... ColumbiaUrbanAg.org

Mid April 2012...

We ordered Kieran a Spiderman costume from ebay and it arrived yesterday. He put it on as soon as he opened the bag and has basically worn it ever since... I don't think it will make it Halloween at this rate...

We had to cut the eye holes bigger... he couldn't see his Spiderman cartoons very well with such small openings ;)

We met my folks and Presley at the new Ashland Pizza and Pub last night. Here Kieran and Presley are playing superheros and pizza dough ;)

The pizza was great and the atmosphere was fantastic- very Shakespear's-esque... so happy to have something like that in town- finally!

The kids ran around like mad when we got back from dinner. The kitchen finally got used again with Presley there to do some baking ;)

Kieran joined in, with his Bat-copter of course ;)

The kids took a looooong and very and wet bath together and then read books in Kieran's bed in their jammies... soooo cute!

I love that Kieran has his legs crossed in this one ;) He brought Presely the two babies and he ended up cuddling one all night as he slept.

On our lazy weekend mornings Kieran likes for one of his to feed him... our big, sweet baby ;)
Papa and Nana gave us a turtle sandbox and we have filled it with 150 pounds of sand- Kieran LOVES it!

Easter 2012!

Our second egg hunt of the year was at Stephen's Lake Park in Columbia. It was a "flashlight hunt" which Kieran was pretty excited about ;) We met up with Camden and his family and the boys had a great time searching for eggs with their flashlights and then playing on the jungle-gym for an hour or more, all the while eating lots of Easter candy!

On the hunt...

"Found one!"

Using his flashlight- just in case he missed something ;)
Playtime in his jammies after the egg hunt...

For our third and final egg hunt, we met Lori and her family at Memorial Park in Jeff city on a rainy and cold Saturday morning. Kieran got a chance to put his new Spiderman "brella" to good use ;)

Kieran shows off his new umbrella to Reece and Livy- I don't think they were all that impressed ;)

This hunt was not as well organized- it was more like a mad dash- with the faster kids (parents) getting the majority of the booty while the slower, less aggressive children (parents) found an egg or two.

Kieran was happy with his double egg loot though ;)

"Egg-celent!"

A little play time before the rain really started to come down...

Umbrella time!

The boys trying to beat the rain :)

Look at my handsome men-folk...

We spent Easter Sunday with Rick's brother's family. Kieran got a late birthday gift and a bunch of awesome hand-me-down toys from his cousins- Jaron and Braydon- he was in heaven!

Braydon demonstrates how the Transformers work ;)

Yet another Easter basket full of sweets- here Kieran is enjoying Peeps on a stick- he ate the entire thing in less than three minutes...

Aaron and Angie have the perfect kid-backyard... a giant trampoline, swimming pool and lots of room to run!

Perhaps the best of the toys... a giant Transformer helmet that alters your voice so it sounds robotic, which is soooo cute when a three-year-old says, "Spider Friends, go for it!"
