Kindergarten Kandinsky circles. |
3rd grade pop art monster prints hanging in the children's section. |
Of course the first item on Kieran's agenda was to play trains- but eventually Rick was able to lure him away from Thomas and the gang long enough to make a cute little Valentine craft. |
Hard at work ;) |
His B&B Valentine is hanging on the fridge now ;) |
Here, Kieran is "reading" a Curious George story to this little girl- she thought he was pretty funny ;) |
After story time, we had lunch out at Love Sushi- Kieran was a big fan of Rick's teriyaki chicken and rice- he also ate a california roll and some tempura veggies... mmmm! |
After it cooled a little, Kieran really liked the tea too. |
The best part of the meal was the little orange dessert with a cat face- he carried this around all afternoon until it finally fell apart ;) |
After lunch, Rick headed back home to do some cleaning and Kieran and I went to my school to do some painting in preparation for his Valentine's party this Tuesday. |
Artist in action! |
Mixing colors... |
Stamping... |
Preparing the stamp... |
A finished painting... |
After the paint dried I cut each poster-board into hearts that Kieran will pass out for his Valentine's cards. |
A finished Valentine with heart crayon attached :) |
One of Kieran's favorite pass times in my classroom is to "play" with my beta. |
We also made Kieran's V-day mailbox- a monster... of course! Kieran helped to paint the green base coat and sponge on the yellow and gold texture- he loves putting mail in it's mouth :) |
When we got home Kieran had a package from Auntie Joyce waiting for him- a Dinosaur Train book and some yummy candy- Kieran's favorite? The GIANT chocolate "K"- he downed that in minutes! |
After all these years, we are still very much in love and so happy to be each other's valentine's. |
